 Re:  Time Management Seminar

Dear Coach Rick,

I have benefited greatly from your time management seminar you gave to all of us here at McIlvain & Associates, and wanted to tell you so, with explanations.

Before the seminar, I was using “to do lists”, but without categorizing or using any structured thought process.  I was in continuous disorganization and consistently late in most of all my life aspects – business & personal!  After “Coach Rick’s” coaching, I’m amazingly more productive!  My most important accomplishment to date, however, relates to my application of the goal setting process to a goal I kept putting off for more than 20 years!

First, before getting too far with the “accomplished” goal, I must first preface with describing my deep-seated fear of getting up in front of people!  Petrified!  Break out in sweats!  Start shaking!  My “Speech Phobia” (I call it) stems from a speech class I took in college; specifically, when I had to give a speech at the end of the semester.  I didn’t prepare – didn’t think I needed to; thought I could just get up there and “wing it”.  Well I froze, and stumbled and made a fool of myself!  I decided it would have to be a very long time before I could do this again………….and so after 20 years, it was time.

I decided to “test” Coach Rick’s success formula.  I put it on a time frame, set up the interim steps, did the preparations, practiced, put it on my “MUST DO” list, and……(drum roll)……..on the day Coach Rick came for our follow-up meeting, I surprised everyone (most especially myself!) by standing up at the front of the room and then I “GAVE A SPEECH!”  Mind over matter finally won!  I got to “check it off” my MUST DO list!  I now feel Unphobia-ized!

Thank you, Coach Rick!  I’m forever appreciative!

 Sincerely,
